This coming Friday, my youth group and I are going to San Antonio and, with a group called "Take it to the streets", we're donating clothing that we have been gathering for the homeless.
While I'm a little bit scared (since I've never done anything like tho before), I'm also excited to be part of something like this.
Christians don't typically realize this, but we may be the only Bible the lost have ever read. Our words and actions may be the difference between those people going to heaven or hell. While I believe that God desires us to live righteously because it's the right thing to do; I also believe that a main part of why He longs for us to live that way so that the lost can see the difference between themselves and someone walking and relying on God. The love of God should be shining out of you so that when people see you, they just have to know what's different about you.
So, brothers and sisters in Christ, how do you react when things don't go your way? Do you start kicking and screaming? Do you go out and party? Or do you run into Daddy God's arms and give the situation to Him? I sincerely hope it's the latter.
Prayers would really be appreciated for Friday night. Our desire is to reach as many people as possible, and to touch them with the hand of God.
Love always,
I'm so excited for you and this trip you are taking!! Don't be nervous, just be yourself and let God use you in awesome and inspiring ways :) missions trips have been some of the best trips I've ever taken :)
