It's time to say hello.

Today is the day. It's the day that I usher in a new life. I'm no longer a child. I'm considered an adult in the eyes of the law. The thought is scary, while also being exhilarating.

Last year I made a list of what I wanted to accomplish in my 17th year, well I'm making a list again, so here goes.

1) Finish out highschool with dignity. Finish strong. Be able to truly speak Spanish. Use this Genealogy project to connect with your roots, and most importantly, my mom. Really learn something in this financial class.

2)Become even more reliant on God, not letting anything come in the way of my relationship with Him.

3) Be less selfish with my time. Help mom and papa, especially, without complaining.

4)Really connect with the people that I love, and cherish them.

5)Be a light to those in the darkness.

6) Make a real effort to at least become decent at the piano.

7)Become, at the very least, more like the woman God created me to be.

So those are my goals for my eighteenth year on this earth. Pray for me?

Shalom,

  1. Happy birthday, Alana! :) I hope you have a great day. It doesn't matter that we've never met face-to-face. You've still encouraged me, listened to me, advised me, and helped me grow. Thank you for being such an intentional friend. I'll definitely be praying for you.

I hope that someday we get the opportunity to meet face-to-face, but regardless, I will still be your friend. It's my absolute pleasure to be your friend. Especially since you return the favor ;).
