Can you wrap your head around it?

First off, I just want to ask for prayer. I can't go into detail or really say anything. Please just pray.

Ok, moving on. Today is resurrection day (I hate calling it Easter, because I know what the origins of Easter are....). It's the day that the scriptures were fulfilled. It's the day that Jesus rose from the DEAD. Wow.

But that's not exactly what I want to talk about. I want to talk about when Jesus was in the garden. When Jesus was struggling.
Today's sermon was about that. Today's sermon was about Jesus' humanity.
I don't think any of us have a had time wrapping our minds around the fact that Jesus is God. It's His humanity that is hard to swallow.
But here's the deal, Jesus walked the earth as a HUMAN man. The miracles he performed were because of God working through Him. He had no special powers.
He dealt with the temptations of life, just like us. The difference? He NEVER sinned. He remained perfect and blameless.

Do you know what that does for me? It fills me with hope. Because if Jesus did all that as a human, why can't I? Why can't I be full of love for those who have hurt me? The answer is, I can. And so can you.

I choose that life. I choose a life following Jesus.

What do you choose?

    1. Ah, so now I'm not allowed to have an opinion?
"Easter" is heavily pagan and gross.
And I will not shut up, but you are welcome to stay away from my blog if you so desire.
      Have a blessed day.
