Finding myself

I'm really sorry I've been so absent since school started. It seems like I have so much to do and then when I do have down time... I'm processing what I've learned or just flat out relaxing.
There's so much that's been happening that I want to share with you, but honestly that would only overwhelm you. rightnow, I'll just share a little.

Everyday I feel like I grasping God's love for me a little more. My mind, body, and emotions are being pushed to what I thought was the limit, but I'm learning was only the surface, this year. It's all by my own choice. I choose what I get out of this year, and I've chosen to push myself as much as possible.
I'm doing that in school by really investing in the lives around me and gleaning all I can from them. In and out of class.
I'm pushing myself to be a better, more present, more loving friend/person.
And I'm pushing my body (and mind) by doing Crossfit.

I've piled a lot on, but I don't regret any of it. I can already tell that I've been changing for the better. My heart is more joyful, my worship more genuine and God ordained, and my life.. is just more God seeking.

On Wednesday, we sat down and spent about 20 min writing a "rough draft" for our mission statements. Basically saying, this is what I'm about. I plan on sharing mine with you one of these days, but a main topic in mine was love. I want to be known as a person who loves deeply.
Honestly, where I am right now, my words and actions a lot of times, lack love, but I'm working on it. That's probably my biggest thing right now.

I'll stop rambling, but I'll be back in a week or so hopefully to share more. I am truly exstatic about what God is doing in my life right now,

Shalom,                                                                                                      www.g42u.com

  1. It's so great to read that you're doing well! I can totally relate with dropping out of the blogging world for a little while, but you have to take your own pace :) (besides, if you make yourself post it becomes more like work and less like just writing!) The idea of writing a personal mission statement is so cool and I might steal it from ya ;) prayers and good luck with everything!

  2. Alana, thank you for this update. I do miss your outpourings, but actually I'm glad to see you so busy with activities that look like they're doing you a lot of good.
