                        Cora and I
                  My whole family
                   My parents and I

Hey everyone!
I hope you had a fantastic Christmas and New Years. Mine was pretty spectacular.

Wow. Twenty-fifteen. What a year it's going to be.
I stand at the beginning  of this year with a dramatically different feeling than I had when I was stepping into 2014. (By the way you should go back and look at my post from January 3, 2014. That was a *completely* accurate vision of last year)
Last year was a year full of so much pain. I was stretched and I grew and that's great, but it was so so hard.
This year, I can't seem to get a picture, but I just have this overwhelming feeling of hope. 2015 is sure to be a great year. I can feel it.
There are some aspects that scare me, for sure, but that's ok. God is on His throne and I don't have anything to worry about.

2015, I'm going to rock you!

  1. Great pictures! :) and it's awesome how you can admit that 2014 was hard but look to 2015 with a hopeful eye. I hope it's great for you :)

  2. This put a big happy smile on my face! My heart ached so much for you, going back through your posts, and I felt so helpless. I saw that you were learning some wisdom, but I was in anguish over how much you were still suffering. Now I've seen signs in your last few posts of some light at the end of the tunnel, and this one especially. Not only in the words, but even more in the photos you chose to post. Scrolling down through those photos filled my heart with joyful laughter.

  3. Alona, I just posted something that was on my heart, to one of my friends, and I thought of sharing it with you, too.

    Here it is:

There's something on my heart that I want to share with you. I'm getting ready to write about it in an Internet discussion, and the thought came to me to share it with you. I don't imagine it will be anything new to you, but it might mean something to you anyway, to hear it now, from me, and you might have something to share in response.

At the heart of the gospel, as I understand it, is God in Jesus. Not the words "God in Jesus." The appearance of God Himself, in Jesus. Whatever we do to help spread the gospel, whatever words we use, however much we quote the bible, and however much God might grant us to show the fruits of the Spirit, none of that is the gospel itself. Those are ways that God grants us to participate in His work.

That isn't actually what I wanted to share with you, but it came to me when I started writing this.

What I wanted to share with you is about the gift of faith.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God ..."
    - Ephesians 2:8

For many months, my heart has been burning with a desire to help raise awareness of that gift, and its value, among the people who have accepted it, and to stir up in their hearts an equally burning desire to nurture it in themselves and in others, and to help spread it far and wide.

That's all. Not nearly as much as I thought I wanted to say, but now I don't know what else to say. Some time I would like to share ideas and experiences with you, in helping to spread the gospel, if that could possibly interest you.

Jesus loves you & I do too!
Be blessed, but also be a blessing.
