A bit of this and that

This has been a busy week to say the least, but I'm alive and breathing.. that's all that matters right?
Kt and the boys drove home yesterday morning. Obviously I was sad to see them go, but atleast I have a point to look forward to. Becky gets here on the 10th, Kt following on the 15th , and that's when Christmas break starts for me. I'm beyond excited :).

I have several posts on my heart, and I promise you, I'll get to them soon enough. Today's post will be a bit all over the place, but I suppose that's why I called it "A bit of this and that" .

On the way home from Church Wednesday night, Kt shared what the sermon was about (since I was in youth group). Pastor David talked about how Christians no longer keep the Sabeth a holy day. They just treat it like another day. He made a point to say how important it was to go to church, but he didn't really elaberate anymore than that. So I started thinking, "How do I spend my Sundays, that might take away from their hollines?" . I came up with a list of things that maybe they arn't sinful or anything, but they do distract me. After praying about it, I've decided that on Sunday's I will stay off of the internet, and my phone (unless it's an emergency). Those two things will make a huge difference. So, if you try to get ahold of me on a Sunday, I appologize, but I won't be responding till the next day.

Moving on---->

I follow.. a lot of blogs, and through reading most of them for a year, I've devoloped a few ... pet-peves..(I appologize a head of time if this offends anyone, it is simply the truth)

1)  Blogs who are constantly concerned what people think. Honestly, I don't care what people think of my blog. I mean obviously I want people to like it, but if they don't, that's okay. This blog is my heart. It reflects who I am.

2) Fake bloggers. I'm sorry, but no one has a picture perfect life like some people in blogs would like it to look like they have. To me, blogging is about being real. If you're going to share anything about your personal life, don't make it look perfect.

For me, honesty is the most important thing. I very well may look weak and pathetic to many of you sometimes, but I don't see my honest, raw reality that way. My point here is to open my heart to my readers that I may just touch one person with my life. Any meaningful post (anything but just updates) is me reaching out and sharing my own very real and personal pain, so that maybe someone else can avoid it.

 Love always,

  1. I totally agree with those two pet-peeves. Ugh XD There's nothing worse than a popularity-obsessed fake.
