Who will stand up for the helpless ?

As I was scrolling through my facebook news feed I came across a video that Kyla had shared.

Take five minutes and watch this please..

This touched me deeply. I have always been Pro-Life , but this got me thinking about exactly where I stand. So here goes: Life begins at conception, therefor.. abortion is murder. The ONLY reason for it to be okay to murder that life growing inside you, is if your life it seriously at risk. Also rape can be a reason, but I would urge you to seriously consider putting your child up for adoption before you kill him/her.

Will you stand up with me ? Stand up for the helpless? Be a voice for the voiceless? Pass this on.. please.

Love Always,

  1. I really admire how strongly you feel about abortion. Every little child is a life. When you think about how many people that just one person can touch in just one life... abortion is just... it's murder that is somehow legal. Alana, I completely agree with you.

  2. When I really think about it, I have to say that I disagree with you in one place here. This is my opinion - but I don't think abortion is okay even if your life is seriously at risk. I'm sure many Christians have gotten abortions because of this - But after really thinking about it, I have to disagree with you.

First of all, murder is a sin and I could never live with deciding to kill such an innocent life, or any life, for that matter. Second, Jesus called us to love each other in the same way that he loved us. He loves everyone - every human being, even the unborn. And "There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." I want so much to love with that great love.

So I say abortion is wrong. Period. No matter the circumstance. And anyway, I'd rather die than be the cause of someone's death.

    1. I really appreciate you sharing your opinion with me. You are 100% right, I had never though about it that way before.

Also, when I was reading this a thought came to mind: In the situation of a woman who is in an abusive relationship, is she given the right to kill that man just because he could potentially kill her? Of course not. Even if she was acting purely on self protection she would likely be sent to jail.

Murder is wrong once you're out of the womb..so why not inside it?

Thank you for your thought provoking comment :)

  3. I didn't think of abortion like that until yesterday.

I agree with you on the relationship thing too... but it made me think more....

When a woman is in an abusive MARRIAGE... does she have the right to divorce? The only reason for divorce given in the Bible that I've ever seen (and I've looked more than once, in more than one version of the Bible) is unfaithfulness. If your spouse has been cheating, you can divorce. But that's the only reason I've seen. I'd love correction if I'm wrong, but I've never seen anything else.

    1. I agree with you 100% here as well. Divorce is an ugly thing. I believe that in an abusive marriage, it's okay to be separated (as long as your keeping faithful to your spouse)so that the abusive spouse can be given a chance to straiten themselves out.
