Day 1

This month I'm doing a challenge issued by Story of My Life to blog every day is May, with a specific topic. Today's topic was "myself in 250 words or less".

The names Alana (Uh-lawn-uh) Donae (Dawn-a{long a}) Leggett (Leg-get).I was born to Bob and Suzan Leggett on October 17, 1995, in Austin, Texas. At 17 years of age, a junior in high school, singer, daughter of the most high, and the youngest of five, I would say that I’m happy. Being homeschooled is simply the best, and yes I DO have friends. I have the advantage of not caring how old someone is. If I like them, then they’re going to be my friend.
I suppose I can’t mention myself without talking about this beautiful Red Mountain Ranch I call home. The work sucks, but the land is more than worth it.
I've grown up in the church, but it’s really only been the last few years that I've found my love for Jesus. I've been singing on the worship team at my church since I was 12 years old, and well if you ask my mom… I've always been passionate about singing. Apparently I would hum while I nursed as a baby.
I’m a scifi geek, and a lover of the hand-written word. I’m no photographer, but pictures are very important to me. What better way to tell a story than through pictures? I’m about as loyal as they come, and I love people fiercely. I never hate anyone. There are a few people whom I strongly dislike, but they earned their place fairly.
Family (those I love) mean more to me than anything. Family really is the best. So anyways, this is me… in a nutshell.

Shalom,

  1. i seriously don't understand how being homeschooled gives you the advantage of having friends who were not your age. i grew up in the public school system and i had friends all over the age spectrum. just saying.

and i find it hysterical that you hummed as a baby. love that. and i love you that it continued as you grew and evolved into actually singing. :)

    1. That may be the fact with you, but from my experience it's not the case with most people. Just saying :).

      I love it too :)

    2. i don't think it's the case with most people. at least not here in idaho. i mean, just because we go to public school doesn't mean that's the only place we gain friends. I had a lot of kids in my neighborhood when i was little and i met a lot of people through church too.

    4. It depends on the person's situation. Like I said, this is just what I've noticed.
Oh no you're fine. You're not being nasty or anything, so I like hearing other opinions.
