I wrote that this morning during an out-pour of emotion earlier, but it's incredibly true if I may be so bold.
Why is it that so many of us (I've been guilty of this too at times) have to have our happiness and good fortune validated, to truly be happy? It's like either someone has to make some kind of remark about how good we have it, or we have to rub it in everyone's faces because happiness is impossible other-wise.
Why not just step back, shut out the world, and soak up this life God has given us. Who the hell cares what the rest of the world thinks about your life? It was given to you, not them. Quit pushing other people down to reach a higher place. It only shows how insecure you are.
So live it up. Surround yourself with people whom you love and love you back. Take everything in life, at stride. Even the storms, because I promise you there will be storms.
