I want it... I really do!

It was like... 27 degrees or something. First super cold day. yuck.

Soccer Tournament fun with Miss Ava

Ava's team won the tournament for U6!

They all played so hard! Such great games.

Have you ever had the desire to have or do something, but you lack the motivation? Surely I'm not the only one... This is my problem lately. I'm filled with desire to accomplish things and be productive... have something to show for all my hard work instead of dragging my feet all the time, but I lack the motivation needed to get anything done. Here's my list of desires:

Workout. Seriously, I wanna be toned. I wanna be able to run. I want nice legs and  glutes, and abs. Stronger arms wouldn't be a bad thing either. I ran last night... that's  start, right?

Do school without prompting from mom. This is a big one. It's one that would help prove to my parents that I'll make it in the real world where I don't have someone standing over me.

Work hard doing everything I can to help at home. Not only would this be a huge help to my mother who works so so hard, but my parents are willing to pay me to keep the house clean and do extra stuff around the ranch. Who can beat that??? Cuz... money is needed.

Learn how to sew really well. I would LOVE to be able to make myself clothes and stuff. and when I'm married and have lots of kids... sewing clothes for my children would help money wise for sure.

Learn how to speak other languages FLUENTLY. I'm learning Spanish as a requirement by my mother, and though it's not the language I would have chosen, I determined to learn it really really well. Other languages on my radar are German, Dutch, and Mandarin (sp).

Read. Okay, I love to read, but I don't do it nearly enough. I also want to learn how to push myself through harder books. It's not only important, but I want to be well read. Not just in easy books, but it bigger, tougher books. Books that are classics, and are beautiful, but aren't an easy read. This will be a life long journey for sure.

Last but not least by any means...

Make God the complete center and focus of my life. I feel as if this is the year (my 18th year) that God will completely woo me if I let Him. Also the year that I bloom. This is and always will be a life long journey. I never want to stop pursuing God. I never want to stop striving to look and be more like Him.

So these are my desires. I'd love it if y'all would help me by praying for motivation even on the toughest days:).
What are your desires as of late?

Shalom,

  1. these are all good things to aspire to. And I think if you just really put your mind to it, you can make them happen. Don't put pressure on yourself to change over night though, because you'll just be disappointed.

and as a fellow lover of the languages, spanish is such a helpful one to know. german is a really good one too. i'm in the process of learning better spanish, italian and french. i tried mandarin, but that one is super hard so maybe i will put my mind to it after i learn the other ones.

good luck sweet girl! i know you can do it :)

    1. Oh definitely! As long as I'm making an improvement, I'm happy :).

Well, living in central Texas... Spanish is extra extra important. Plus, I hear it's a good one to start with.
I know a few words/ phrases in Mandarin because my oldest sister spent a month in China with a friend, but not much. It's very difficult lol.

Thank you! I really appreciate the vote of confidence :)

  3. Tis a lesson you should heed:
    Try, try, again.
If at first you don't succeed,
    Try, try, again.

    Then your courage should appear;
    For if you will persevere,
    You shall conquer; never fear!
    Try, try again.

    I'm praying :)
