Thanks, Ashley, for nominating me :).
Here's how it works:
1) share 11 facts about yourself.
2)Answer the questions set by the blogger who nominated you.
3)Nominate bloggers.
4)Set 7 questions for nominated bloggers.
Okay, about me...
~Blogging has completely changed how I look at writing. Before I started, I hated writing, but now it's a way in which I express myself.
~I have a plan to get my first tattoo in August. A sister tattoo with Becky.
~As of about a month ago, I finally have a beg that's bigger than a twin. Papa convinced mom to get me a QUEEN. My new bed is pretty much heaven.
~I'm terrified of the unknown, which makes trusting God, super difficult. I'm working on it though!
~I have a box full of letters from Ocean over the last three years, and another box with other personal letters.
~Talking on the phone is one of my least favorite forms of communication. I'd rather actually be with the person, writing them a letter, emailing, or texting. I'm just not comfortable on the phone.
~I desperately want my hair to grow... I cut it off for stupid reasons and even though It really did need to be refreshed... I hate how short it is.
~I know exactly what I want my wedding dress to look like, because my amazing little sister, Laina, drew it for me.
~I often start my days off with SO MANY great intentions, but then my motivation goes away...
~At the end of February, God told me to stay off of Pinterest. That was SUPER hard for me, but I'm proud to say that as of yesterday, I'm allowed to get back on :).
~It brings me so much joy to listen to Miss Ava (who will be five next week) play Barbies. It reminds me of when I was little... I LOVED playing Barbies, Polly Pockets, Paper Dolls, Hot wheels (they had families), and just plain house.
Now to answer Ashley's questions:
1)What life experience in particular has helped you grow?
This is more of a type of experience than a specific one, but I would have to say learning to overcome anger and hurt feelings toward people who have hurt me.
Two young women over the course of the last few years specifically come to mind.
The first, had no reason to be upset with me. She simply didn't like me, there for I was the object of her hate. She tortured me with words for over a year.
The second was given a very good reason not to like me. I screwed up, and as a result, she got hurt. I made a lot of mistakes with her and was really not a nice person, but even after I apologized and did anything I possibly could to make things right, she still attacked me. Making herself part of the problem and no longer a victim.
For both of these people I tried to forgive them many times. It never would stick, but finally... for whatever reason, I was brought to a place where any negative feeling I had towards them just.. dissolved. I was set free, and today I can proudly say that God brought me through it, and I wish them immense blessings of God.
2)What do people generally know you for/as?
Most people probably know me for my singing voice. I sing on a worship team at church and I'm very passionate about it.
3)What's something many people do not know about you?
In my bed, I have a giant stuffed frog named nurse froggy. I've had her since I was about five. Also, A bear named Charming (Laina's joke when I asked her for a guy as a Christmas present two years ago), and a puppy which I cuddle with every night.
4)What's one word that doesn't describe you? Please put a little explanation too!
Reserved.
People who don't know me very well, think that I'm a really quite, reserved person, but in reality, I'm actually quite loud and silly.
5)What's your general outlook on the world?
It's a broken world we live in. Full of hurt and pain. What gives me hope is God. The way that the sun shines and flowers bloom and rain brings life to everything around. God is still here. If He wasn't, it would be a miserable place.
6)What's the funniest/ most embarrassing lesson you've ever learned?
I'm always learning something silly from Papa. On Saturday, he taught me to make sure you leave the house with all your clothes on.
We were on our way to town and he looked back at me and said" What did I forget? Do I have all my clothes on, I feel as if I forgot something."
7)What are you a total geek about?
Me? A geek about something? No.... Never.....
Okay, I'm a geek about my favorite tv shows. Eureka, Bones, Grimm, Once Upon a Time, Castle, and Firefly. Plus, I'm really just a geek about anything I love... haha.
Okay, I nominate...

I can't stand talking on the phone much, either...I'm just very awkward with it. And the Hot Wheels had families? Ha! It sounds like you had fun with this; I loved reading your answers :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really awkward with it too, hints the dislike for it ;). Haha, yes, everything was about families with me.
